Bender is bothered that justice hasn't been served in the case.
CITRUS COUNTY -- Beverly Bender is confined to a wheelchair after the car accident that caused her left leg to be amputated, lose use of an arm and killed her boyfriend, Brian Willis.
Police arrested Patrick Donovan, 31, and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident involving and tampering with evidence. Donovan was released on bond and hasn't been seen since the accident six years ago.
Bender said the physical and mental anguish is overshadowed by the torment that justice has not been served.
"Not really for my satisfaction, but for Brian's satisfaction. I want him to be able to rest better up there knowing that this kid was found and prosecuted," said Bender.
Bender and Willis' surviving relatives suspect Donovan went south of the border to Monterrey, Mexico.
"One of his partners is from Mexico," said Cynthia Holden of the Center for Victims Rights. "He knows the bureaucrats and how it works down there."
Bender said the state attorney's office is not able to help her because there's no budget for tracking people. The Florida Highway Patrol said it filed this case with Interpol.
"I just can't understand why its just more or less swept under the rug," said Elmer Willis, the deceased's father.
Bender and the Willis family said they are frustrated with waiting for authorities to find Donovan.
With the help of Cynthia Holden a fundraiser is being held next month to hire a personal investigator who can track Donovan's location.
The fundraiser poker run is being held on Saturday, Aug. 4 at Scooter Haven in Inglis.

Many insurance companies have policies of making low offers of settlement therefore forcing the plaintiff to trial. The decision in these cases is not made by the defense attorney but by the insurance adjuster. We are a leading law firm related such issues. For more information visit our site car accidents.
