Stanko in Hernando county jail...
Nick Stanko, the scam artist we have been after for several months was jailed last month for crimes against elders. Read the oridginal article here.
Stanko asked the court for a lowered bond so he could get out of jail and thanks to the Center the Judge said no...
That's how the advocates works. As representative for the victims Cynthia was notified of the action on the case and she made the victims aware of the up coming hearing. They showed up at the hearing and had a chance to tell their side of the story, the judge decided to not lower his bond. As of today he is still in jail with a $50,000 bond thanks to the victims, and Cynthia being at the hearing.
That's the way the system is suposed to work...
Thank you Cynthia and all of the victims that where there and spoke up to help keep this guy from scaming more people...

Pete, a young men with special needs, in Citrus County Florida, had his bike stolen from in front of his home. The Center for Victims Rights found out about the problem from Pete's brother. They went to work and got the State of Florida to replace it through the Victims Compensation Program. You can see the results on his face in the frames.
This is what the Center for Victims Rights is all about. Helping people that are innocent victims of crime.
